Our Approach
Extensive Wage Index Experience
Our approach to the wage index and occupational mix data is "Turn Key,” which ensures our clients are filing data in a compliant fashion. TPR’s role is to serve as a hospital’s partner throughout this entire process. We help identify the opportunities during our reviews and we will provide the follow-through that is needed until the final CMS rulings become available each year on or about August 1st. TPR provides Medicare wage index audit support, completes appeals when needed and reconciles every public use file to ensure there are no discrepancies.
How will our services help you?
Key Benefits
Proven Results
With our robust portfolio, hospitals, health systems and hospital associations will hire TPR year after year because of the impressive Return-on-Investment (ROI) that is delivered. Currently, we are working with over 150 Hospitals on their wage index and occupational mix survey reviews.
Everchanging Rules and Regulations
TPR closely monitors CMS proposed and final rulings and works with all the MACs across the United States. This is critical because the reporting requirements will change from time to time – e.g., physician compensation reporting, fringe benefits (retirement plans and health insurance), contract labor, etc. In addition, TPR works with nationally recognized law firms on appeals and to also help confirm that vague regulations are being interpreted appropriately.
Why This is a Team Sport
The wage index and occupational mix survey is a Team Sport where every market’s acute care Hospital’s data is included. In addition, this is not just a Reimbursement Department task. The input from other professionals within a Hospital’s Accounting, Payroll, Human Resources and Clinical departments are important to achieve optimal results. TPR is perceived by our clients as a trusted advisor who provides a hands-on approach that is non-invasive.
